Men’s and Women's issues in relationship

Men and women most often approach relationships from different perspectives. Childhood messages and cultural influences can make a great deal of difference in what the different genders expect to receive from and feel obligated to give to a committed partnership.

Leo and Peggy offer occasional follow-up sessions for couples who have attended a Getting the Love You Want Workshop. In these sessions, gender specific differences are explored and new perspectives are offered as to how to bridge contradictory “worlds” so that a more cooperative and mutually fulfilling relationship can be attained. Skills that were offered in the workshop are offered in a way that deepens a couple's ability to apply the concepts of dialogical interaction to their relationship.

These sessions are scheduled by request. When at least five couples have indicated interest, either immediately after a workshop or by calling into the Dhont and Associates office, a series of six sessions is established.

Dealing with issues of women in midlife

Peggy has been offering workshops for women in “midlife”… what is often called "transitioning into the years of wisdom.” This workshop will be offered to small groups of women who are willing and interested in committing to a series of three sessions to explore the issues that women of these middle years are dealing with. Attendance at one of these sessions can be scheduled by calling Peggy at the Dhont and Associates office.

Deepening the Connection

Often couples leave the workshop feeling very encouraged and anxious to apply the skills learned within the workshop experience. Everyday life then gets in the way and distractions make it difficult to remember how to apply the skills that worked so well during the weekend. Leo and Peggy offer follow-up sessions for couples who would like to continue to deepen their work and experience the support of other couples who are facing the same challenges going forward.
